Description:
Take a step back in time as you explore this magnificent Jacobean mansion. Built of red brick in the early 17th century, it was attacked during the British Civil War and still retains the damage incurred in that assault. Today, the house is open to the public and is filled with period furnishings and artwork. Its floor plan is traditionally Jacobean and includes a long gallery space and an impressive staircase (complete with cannonball hole!).
